I have to start by saying the time on here is wrong. We came here on a Saturday night at 9:30 pm and we were informed this place closes at 10. Piccolinos offers a nice variety of menu items to include italian, greek, and some American meals. Their food is delicious too! I love their chicken parm. Compared to other places I've been, this place seems a bit over priced in my opinion. I think if they included a small salad or at least warm bread with the meal it would make it worth our while. We still enjoy visiting once in a while. The place is very quiet and cozy and our waiters have always been friendly.

So wierd story, my dad flew up to Alaska a few weeks ago , knowing very well how good Piccolinos is, i asked him to pick me up some arribiata pasta. Even after an 8 hour flight and being at room temp , it was the best pasta iv had in a million years!

The food is average in my opinion... Not bad but not amazing. The service I've had here was pretty good - nothing to complain about. It's definitely one of the nicer places to eat in Eagle River but for the prices I'd probably just suggest driving to Anchorage to go somewhere nice before going here again but if you don't feel like driving this place is a decent pick in Eagle River!

I honestly don't understand why this restaurant has such good reviews. It is not only some of the worst Italian and Greek cuisine that I have ever tasted, but some of the worst food from a restaurant in general. The food is ridiculously overpriced, and the pastas all taste like microwavable meals. The lettuce in the salad is probably the worst that I have ever seen. The first time we ordered food from here we were appalled, but later ate in the restaurant in the hope that it might taste better fresh at the restaurant. We were sadly wrong. The food is very low quality, I simply can't give a better rating for such overpriced and low quality food.

Place turned from bad to great in couple of years. The best customer service. Fast. Delicious. My favorite is Guro. And Greek place in Alaska is awesome. We love to spend family time there. Highly recommend. You will love it. They deliver or you can pick up. Super friendly. Fast great humor. Knowledgeable about menu, wines and other drinks. Deserts are really good too. They will call cab when you will need and took care of your car. Love it. Friendly place. Go and enjoy it! Let me know how was it! ;-)

Super nice ppl. Great service and the food is always awesome. Today just salad and a Greek sub. At dinner we always get some bruschetta - it's the best!

Not a bad way to avoid the drive into anchorage. About equal with Italian chains, but not on par with a legit Italian restaurant.

This was our first experience dinning here. Our service was fantastic! The waitress "Bree" was simply great, when asked about various wines and other meal recommendations she had no hesitations and was well informed to all the selections and what went with what. We will definitely be back!!!! Thanks

Couldn't be better! We go there 2-3 times per week, as well as the Wasilla location. Always attentive staff, perfectly prepared meals!!!

We spent $148 and the only thing we enjoyed was the service courtesy of Javier, the drinks and the appetizers. The halibut was not seasoned well and the lasagna tasted processed. Their kids pizza was flavorless. Although this place was recommended, we left disappointed.

John our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The dinners we ordered were for the most part overpriced and underwhelming. The manicotti was unseen under the too salty red sauce and cheese. The chicken parm with alfredo was swimming in the sauce and covered with a flavorless slab of mozzarella. The chicken was thin and lacked any flavor. Best to stick with lunch salads and bypass the faux Italian food.

Would have given five stars during the first year. We ate there almost weekly. However, after numerous disappointments we throttled back. We've noticed this with a lot with restaurants in general: Irresistible out of the blocks ...then...something...changes We gave them three opportunities, on the chance it might be attributable to an "off night". The quality of the dishes kept declining. Haven't been back for six months. Perhaps we'll give another shot before writing them off completely.

Ok food. The gyros are not the best, unless these are the only gyros you've ever eaten in your life. Go to the Greek corner for good Greek foid, its about the same price. They make good pizza and ok calzones, salads are runny. This place has Italian food too, I've never tried or found Mexican food. If I want Mexican food in eagle river, I go to jalapeños or Chepos.

My family and I love this place. The gyros are the closest I've found to the souvlakis ( a true greek gyro) that I've had whilst living in Greece. Their spanikopita is delish too. Prices are a little higher but we like everything we have ate so far and the service is great.

If you want NY style pizza go to Piccolino's. It's the best I've found in Alaska. Great crust, the perfect amount of sauce, and lots of cheese. Yum! The prices are fair and when I order takeout the pie is still hot when I get home.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Lackluster service, way overpriced, gross food. For how much they're charging, it should at least be fresh made food. Everything here is obviously frozen. It's bland, pasta tastes weird kind of like dust or maybe soap; Italian sausage is suspected turkey sausage. It was super gross. To add insult to injury, the decor is hideous and tacky.

Any time I visit Eagle River, I end up here. The food is good and the staff are friendly and attentive. Personally, I wish there were more mushroom items on the menu since I eat a lot of veg (I have weird mushroom cravings in Italian restaurants- Ravioli! Risotto!), but I had the eggplant parm and would definitely order it again. All in all, it's quality food and I'll keep going back. Prices are a bit hefty, but I always bring home leftovers, so I get about two meals for the cost.

Six of us went here today for a late lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and without chicken, Eggplant Rollatini, Calzone with chicken and pizza. We would certainly go back for more. Our server was so very kind and friendly. She smiled often and was attentive to all of our needs. They also have a decent selection of draft beer and a full bar.

The food is okay...not amazing but not terrible. But the food is way overpriced. My husband got the rib eye it was 32.oo I ordered bruschetta it was 13.95 for 5 pieces of toasted bread under heaps of tomatoes. Presentation was lacking and prices in my opinion are too high. I can drive a few miles into town for better food at much lower prices.

Outstanding service and food. You won't find a better Resturant in Alaska. This is the place you take a date to impress her or propose. Great place for birthday, Anniversaries, or special occasions. Prices are in the *** to ****.!?

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
